About the Collaboration Self-Assessment

This free, online tool will help you gauge the maturity of your organization's current collaborative maturity and capabilities (whether you have already started with an explicit collaboration initiative or not) and help you accelerate your organization to the next level. The tool is based on an online interactive self-assessment of your organization and its current practices. You start by stating which industry your organization is in, in which region of the world it is located, and its size – this information enables us to benchmark your scores effectively. Additionally, we ask you to share with us the primary purpose of your current or planned collaboration efforts (if applicable).

Then, you work through a self-assessment questionnaire by stating the degree to which you agree or disagree with a set of statements. The assessment covers five sections: organization, strategy, technology, governance, and adoption readiness. If you need help as you navigate the assessment, you'll see that each section offers context-sensitive help in the form of pop-ups which are provided for each section and subsection of the assessment. Just click on the [?] links next to section headings and subsection headings within the assessment.

You don't have to complete the assessment if you don't know the answer to some of the questions, but the more details you can fill in the more accurate and comprehensive your final assessment will be. You can save your assessment and return to it to complete or alter your responses at any time.

At any time, you can ask the tool to calculate your results and assess your collaboration maturity levels. The tool will provide an overall analysis of your current performance and outlook. It also shows how your scores compare to the benchmark scores from across all users of the tool. This information is presented online.

If you want to get more detailed benchmark information and find out how your current competency levels affect your collaboration strategy, you can then opt to generate a personalised action plan. This PDF report shows benchmarks that compare your readiness against other organizations of a similar size, in the same industry, and in the same geographical region. As well as this, your action plan highlights a set of crucial next steps you will need to take in order to improve your collaboration readiness and maturity.

The action plan report is presented as a professional PDF document which you may download and share within your organization. There is no fee to generate or access this report, and as with the basic self-assessment you can generate and download this report as many times as you like. So as your competency levels increase over time you can keep benchmarking them against your industry peers and make sure you’re heading in the right direction and get advice on taking the next steps to continued collaboration maturity and excellence.
